2 My little children, these things I write to you so that you do not sin. And if anyone sins, we have an Advocate with the Father: Jesus Christ, the Just.

² And He is the reconciliation for our sins; and not only for ours, but also for the whole world.

³ And by this we are sure that we know Him: if we keep His commandments.
